4.5/5 Beef rib rice noodles ($15.98) here are a must try!! Chao wei ju is 潮汕 (Chao shan) food, which focuses on freshness, and you can taste here in the hot piping broth and fresh cut beef! They also serve complimentary tea if you're dining in. I always get the beef rib noodle soup because the ribs here are marinated and cooked in their house made satay (shacha) sauce. The noodles here are a soft, slightly wide rice noodle. (Just fyi if you're thinking of the round rice noodles.) There's a condiments station where you can get that houseade shacha sauce, garlic and chili sauce (also made in house) along with green onions and cilantro to compliment your dishes. They even sell the sauces in jars if you want to bring some home! The marinated white radish and beef tripes ($9.98) are also very flavorful. The raddish had soaked up all the meat flavors. I do wish the bowl for this item was bigger... In general, the appetizers can be smaller portion and some, like the oyster pancake (not a lot of oysters), doesn't do well in terms of value + taste. So it can be trial and error here. Nonetheless, this is a great place to dine in with the complementary tea, condiments bar with house made sauces, and to just enjoy the food, especially noodles, as soon as possible.

Both hotpot and separate dishes tasted great. Service is extremely attentive. The sauces are delicious too. Comfortable seating with lots of parking spaces (it's a stand alone restaurant with its own parking lot!)

The beef hotpot was good but wasn't great. I'd call it maybe 70% authentic chaoshan style. The way the meat was prepared was not authentic. It's a somewhat minor detail though. Taste-wise it was overall a good experience, service was also quick. Highly recommend the noodles though! They are really delicious and not too greasy.

Foods good overall for a lot of their dishes but avoid their hot pot soup combo. It's VERY msg like flavor which is a shame. I think soup would've probably been excellent if they toned that down.

Visited Chao Wei Ju with my sister this past weekend and it exceeded our expectations. We arrived at around 3pm and we were seated right away and given hot tea. Their menu is pretty extensive, main ingredient in a lot of their dishes is beef and fishball. They have two sauce stations where you can get onion, cilantro, chili oil, and their special sauce. The soups were flavored to perfection and loved how clean the broth is. Will definitely be coming back to try their other dishes.

Hidden gem; their noodles/broth are super flavorful. It's a great spot for a hangover food (hot and "heartwarming" for the lack of a better word). I dip everything in their 'Sha cha' sauce that you can service yourself with. It's beyond delicious... I've even eaten two bowls of noodles in one sitting. They're known for their hot pot apparently, but I've yet to try. I'd imagine it's just as good as their noodles. It typically comes with "fun," but I opt for the "mian" which comes with wonton noodles. The oyster pancake is good too, but I'd definitely just order another bowl of noodle because it's that good. I will say their fried rice had a good aroma, but it lacked in flavor (no salty enough surprisingly). You're also always served with a petite tea kettle which I appreciate.

[ Food ] I ordered A1. House Special Beef Noodle Soup and it was decent, some of the meats were chewy. The broth was nice and light though, not greasy. The Fried Fish Cake was decent as well. [ Service ] The customer service was really good, the ladies were attentive and nice. [ Parking ] They have their own parking lot so that's convenient.

Came here to try out something new. The place was clean and everything seems much more costly than other nearby places. I then see why as they try to put in better quality, presentation etc to their food. I will say it was a bit better in effort and the whole kung du style tea set offering but for much more in their prices, I would expect much more including the ambiance which was not matching up to it. The food and tea may be of a bit better quality but flavor was mot much more of better flavor enough for me to pay more here to stick with the other mom & pops. The oyster pancake was good though and if you prefer blander soup bases, then this place is for you. Service was good but i would not say it's fancier either. Their parking is descent and enough as it's their own private parking lot. I wouldn't come back sadly as it is a bit costly for what i get and happy with my other go to places. I will say it's a good place to try at least once and some may feel its worth paying for. Just nothing that sparks out of the norm for me.

If you like beef, this place is Great value! And if you happen to like Asian noodles, then this is a great place to try. The cuisine is Chao Zhou, or in their own dialect, Duoju. It is similar to the Vietnamese pho but with some Chinese influence. Right after you sit down, they'll serve tea in cute small tea pots and tiny cups. I love the pea-green color of the set. Oh, and the tea is free! Many different choices on the menu, but mostly beef (different parts) and tripe. Most of them are flavorful- those with brisket and tripe have a heavier taste. Love their ribs! Very satisfying for cravings of meat. Service is the typical Chinese restaurant no-frill type - they don't do small talk or try to befriend their customers. They are just there to work and they are damn efficient! It's a popular place so often crowded in dining hours. They have a small parking lot on the side but it's often full. Street parking on Valley Blvd is possible but not easy; side streets may be another option.
